TAMPA — Deiondre Porter passed for more than 150 yards and was involved in three touchdowns to lead the Dragons past the Warriors.
Jefferson got the scoring going on its first drive. After a Derrick Ingram interception in Steinbrenner territory, Porter cashed in on a quarterback sneak from 1 yard out and the Dragons converted a two-point conversion.
On the kickoff, Jefferson recovered an onside kick. The Dragons got into the end zone again, this time on a 19-yard pass from Porter to Ventell Bryant.
Jefferson capped the first quarter with a 43-yard interception return by senior safety Talik Palacio for a 22-0 advantage.
Porter hooked up with Bryant in the second quarter, this time for a 23-yard touchdown to give the Dragons a 28-0 lead. Bryant had four catches for 65 yards and the two scores. Steinbrenner answered with a long field goal, a 41-yard kick by senior T.J. Broecker. Jefferson closed out the first half with a 42-yard boot from Noah Pena.
Steinbrenner added a 30-yard field goal late in the third quarter, set up by a 50-yard reception by Kezio Snelling.
