TAMPA — After a back-and-forth first half, East Bay powered away in the second half to pick up the victory against Chamberlain. Chamberlain took a 13-12 lead at the end of the first quarter when Dakarai Highsmith ran 29 yards for his second rushing touchdown of the game. East Bay went on an 11-play drive that was finished by a 1-yard QB sneak by Chris Carpentier to take an 18-13 lead. Chamberlain had a chance at the end of the first half, but the Chiefs were sacked on the East Bay 10-yard line as time ran out. The depth of East Bay showed in the second half as the Indians outscored the Chiefs 28-7 after halftime. Chris Greene had two touchdown runs of 55 yards and 35 yards, and Kameron Daniels had a 58-yard fumble return for a touchdown.
Greene finished with 122 yards rushing and Carpentier had 77. Highsmith finished with 78 yards rushing in the losing effort.
