Grant seemingly dominated in the long jump at every event during the spring, winning titles at the Sunshine Athletic Conference meet, districts and regionals. The junior has one more year to quite possibly make it three state titles in a row. He is receiving looks at many big time Division-I schools for football and could land a scholarship for track and field as well. Argishti Gazari, Anclote: No one had a better year overall in distance running in Pasco County compared to Gazari. The University of South Florida signee took state gold in the 3200 meter run and also won a bronze medal in the 1600 meter run as well. The senior also was able to take regional crowns in both the 1600 and 3200. Gazari was able to live up to the high expectations going into the 2012 regular season and blossomed in the postseason and helped transform Anclote's track and field squad into a distance running-oriented squad.
