Tampa Bay Lightning's season opener Saturday sold out

The Tampa Bay Lightning's season opener Saturday night at the Forum against Washington is a sellout, the team announced today.

A limited number of standing-room only tickets for the 7 p.m. game against the Capitals will be made available at 9 a.m. at the Forum ticket office.

Tickets are $35 apiece, and fans will be limited to two per person.

As part of their 20th anniversary celebration, the Lightning are encouraging fans to arrive early for player red-carpet arrivals beginning at 3:30 p.m. on the West Plaza. The team also will be offering $2 beers and $1 hotdogs on the plaza.
