TAMPA — Tampa Bay Lightning captain Marty St. Louis was named the NHL’s first star for the week that ended Sunday.
St. Louis, 38, had five goals and eight points, including a four-goal game against San Jose on Saturday, to lead all skaters for the week. St. Louis had at least one point in each of the team’s five games.
Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick was the week’s second star and Chicago goaltender Corey Crawford the third star.
St. Louis leads the Lightning and ranks seventh in the NHL with 50 points (25 goals, 25 assists) in 50 games, including 12 points during an eight-game point streak, the longest active point streak in the league.
