Lightning announce development camp roster, schedule

— Top Tampa Bay Lightning prospects Jonathan Drouin, Andrei Vasilevskiy and Slater Koekkoek highlight the roster for next month’s summer development camp at the Ice Sports Forum in Brandon.

The annual camp will be held July 2-6, with the 3-on-3 tournament held the final two days of the camp, which focuses on training and skill development and sets the tone for the organization’s top prospects heading toward training camp in September.

In addition to the team’s past three first-round draft picks, other top prospects scheduled to attend include goaltenders Kristers Gudlevskis and Adam Wilcox, 2013 second-round pick Adam Erne and forward Cedric Paquette, who made his NHL debut at the end of last season and appeared in all four playoff games with Tampa Bay. Many of the Lightning’s selections in the upcoming NHL draft, scheduled for June 26-27 in Philadelphia, are also expected to attend the camp.

One notable free-agent invitee to the camp is goaltender Clay Witt, a Brandon native who was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award as the top college player while at Northeastern University.
