Outlook

Academy at the Lakes is in the state semifinals for just the second time in school history. The Wildcats, who are trying to win their first state title, are currently ranked 10th overall in the state by MaxPreps. To prepare for a deep playoff run, AATL played one of the toughest schedules in the area with 17 games against teams that made the playoffs in the regular season. The Wildcats played well against such worthy foes and have won seven straight heading into the semifinals. After falling short in the region final the past three seasons, the Defenders cleared that stumbling block to reach the state semifinals for the first time since 2009. Lake Worth Christian has played just 13 games, less than half of what AATL has played so far.
