USF's Curry To Transfer
TAMPA - University of South Florida redshirt freshman G Dante Curry is leaving USF to transfer to another program. "Dante has informed me of his decision to transfer," USF coach Stan Heath said. "He wishes to find a place where he can play more. We will continue to support him academically as he goes through this transition process and wish him the best in his future endeavors." Curry appeared in six games this season, averaging nine minutes, 2.0 points and 1.2 rebounds per game. Curry signed with former USF coach Robert McCullum in 2006, but missed all of last season after tearing his right Achilles tendon in September.At Kissimmee Poinciana High, Curry averaged 22.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 3.1 steals as a senior.
