USF to be featured on 'Today' as part of school spirit contest
University of South Florida students would tell you they're proud of their school spirit. Thursday, they tried to prove it to the nation when they were featured during the fourth hour of the "Today" show, for a chance to have hosts Kathie Lee and Hoda host a live show from Tampa in October. USF is among six finalists in the contest to see which university has the most school spirit. The show will feature one school a day, and the winner will be determined by voting on the "Today" show website. An NBC corresponent was on campus Thursday, allowing students to don their green and gold and show why USF should win.The finalists: USF, Syracuse, Ohio State, Tennessee, Creighton and Brandeis.
