USF Football Worker Accused In Attack On Student
TAMPA - The video coordinator for the University of South Florida football team, 41-year-old Jamie DeGerome, has been accused of assaulting a student on campus. According to USF police, DeGerome confronted 22-year-old Kyle DiGiacomo on Tuesday afternoon at the athletics training building. DeGerome grabbed DiGiacomo's shirt, according to police. DiGiacomo "tried to spin away and in the process was struck in the mouth by the suspect's wrist," said Sgt. Drew Cafarelli of the USF Police Department. "They didn't actually charge the suspect," Cafarelli said. "They sent it through to the state attorney's office for review."
