GAINESVILLE — It’s not as bad as a year ago, but Florida’s injury situation is starting to build again a little bit after one week of fall practice.
Vernon Hargreaves has a bone bruise and ran on a treadmill and should be ready to return either today or Wednesday, UF coach Will Muschamp said. RBs Kelvin Taylor (hamstring) and Matt Jones (swelling in knee) were held out.
DL Alex McCallister, OL Trip Thursday and LB Bryan Cox all have shoulder injuries but Muschamp didn’t see any of them as major issues. Jon Bullard has an ankle injury and missed Monday but should return today.
DEFENSIVE FRONT: Joey Ivie has moved from defensive end to tackle.
“He’s done some really nice things. He’s up to 285-290. But he’s a guy that’s really playing square, really playing blocks well,’’ Muschamp said.
