TAMPA – Three of the four preseason games of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in August will be televised by WFLA, Channel 8, as part of a multiyear agreement announced Thursday. The local NBC affiliate will broadcast Buc exhibition games through the 2017 season. News Channel 8 will produce and broadcast the Aug. 8 preseason opener against the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens at home, the Aug. 24 matchup at the Miami Dolphins and a home game against the Washington Redskins on Aug. 29. If the two home preseason games do not sell enough tickets to lift the NFL blackout, they will be televised by WFLA on a delay basis. Tampa Bay's second preseason game, at New England on Aug. 16, will be broadcast nationally on Fox (locally on WTVT, Channel 13).
?"We are excited to announce the return of WFLA-TV as our team's preseason broadcast partner,"?? said Bucs co-chairman Bryan Glazer. News Channel 8 will also produce and broadcast pregame specials prior to each exhibition game and air a "Bucs Bonus"?30-minute program on Saturday evenings during the NFL season. "There is no more powerful programming on television than the NFL,"?? said News Channel 8 general manager Brad Moses. ?"We are thrilled once again to be the home of Buccaneers preseason football."??
