Tampa Bay Buccaneers release preseason schedule
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will prepare for the 2013 season by facing the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins during the preseason.
The Bucs will play the Ravens and Redskins at Raymond James Stadium in Weeks 1 and 4, respectively. They will face the Patriots and Dolphins on the road in Weeks 2 and 3, respectively.
The league released its four-week preseason schedule on Thursday.
The Bucs-Patriots game is scheduled to be televised nationally by FOX at 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16. Specific dates and times for the other three exhibition games are still to be determined.
The preseason opener against the Ravens, who defeated the 49ers in February to win their second Super Bowl championship, will mark the first time Tampa Bay and Baltimore meet in the preseason.
Coming off a 7-9 season under first-year coach Greg Schiano in 2012, the Bucs' offseason workout program is scheduled to begin April 15 at One Buc Place. Mandatory minicamp is slated for June 11-13.
