Bucs sign Robinson High grad, WR Greg Ellingson
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday signed Robinson High School graduate Greg Ellingson, a wide receiver from the Arena Football League. Ellingson (6-foot-4, 200 pounds) played for the AFL's New Orleans VooDoo before signing with the Bucs. In 10 games with the VooDoo, Ellingson had 33 catches for 475 yards and eight touchdowns. Ellingson graduated from Tampa's Robinson High in 2007 and played collegiately at Florida International. A four-year starter at FIU, he had 124 career receptions for 1,952 yards and 14 touchdowns, including 36 catches for 546 yards and five scores as a senior. Ellingson entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent of the Jacksonville Jaguars after the 2011 draft.
