The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced that Sunday's home game against the Philadelphia Eagles is a sellout.
Sunday's 1 p.m. game will be telecast on WTVT, Channel 13.
On Sept. 26, the team announced that the remainder of their regular-season home games will be televised on local TV. The team said it is projected to surpass the NFL's threshold of selling 85 percent of all non-premium tickets for its seven remaining games at Raymond James Stadium.
The Bucs were blacked out for 19 of their previous 24 regular-season games at RJS because of insufficient ticket sales, including six of eight home games last year. The home opener against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 15 was on local TV.
On Sunday morning, the Buccaneers will host the first Treasure Chests 5k Run/Walk as part of its breast cancer awareness campaign. Bucs players will don special pink accents on their uniforms to show support for the NFL's “A Crucial Catch” campaign.
