TAMPA - Cornerback Eric Wright was back with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday - but not for long.
The Bucs released Wright on Monday after his contractual rights were returned to them because of a failed physical with the San Francisco 49ers, Bucs general manager Mark Dominik said.
Wright was traded to the 49ers for a conditional 2014 draft pick on Friday. The trade came a week after he was arrested on a suspicion of DUI in Los Angeles, his second such arrest in a little more than a year.
The 49ers did not provide a reason for the failed physical, Dominik said.
