Bucs Q&A: Is Revis a team player?
Q: In a couple of earlier questions regarding cornerback availability, specifically Brent Grimes, a major injury is cited as a red flag. Isn't major knee surgery like Revis had also a warning sign or does his ability and status as one of the game's best (if not the best) shutdown corners mitigate that? Would he fit in as a Buccaneer Man? Watching HBO Hard Knocks it is hard feel he is a team first guy.

A: The concern about Grimes is that at 5-foot-7 or so, he has always used his leaping ability to compensate for his lack of height (or "length" as NFL types now like to call it). After suffering a blown Achilles tendon there is fear that Grimes won't be the leaper he was before and therefore not the corner he was before either. And your question about Revis fitting in as a Buccaneer Man is extremely relevant. I have asked that question myself and the answer I came up with is just not sure. That's another reason the Bucs have to get him - if they get him at all - at their price.
