NEW YORK — The NFL will release its regular-season schedule tonight.
The schedule, which will be unveiled at 8 p.m. on NFL Network and ESPN2, normally is announced earlier, but several issues cropped up to delay its release.
In addition to its two games apiece with NFC South opponents Atlanta, Carolina and New Orleans, the Bucs will have home games against Baltimore, Cincinnati, Green Bay and Minnesota, and road games at Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit and Pittsburgh.
The Bucs announced their preseason schedule Tuesday. They open on Friday, Aug. 8 with a 7:30 p.m. road matchup at Jacksonville. Tampa Bay’s opening home game in the Smith era is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 16 against the Dolphins, with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. The third exhibition game will be in Buffalo on Saturday, Aug. 23 at a time to be determined, before the Bucs close out the preseason at home against Washington on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
Among the NFL highlight games is a Super Bowl rematch, with the Denver Broncos at NFL champion Seattle. Other interconference highlights include San Francisco at Denver, New England at Green Bay, and Philadelphia at Indianapolis.
Three games are scheduled for London and have been announced: Dolphins-Raiders on Sept. 28; Lions-Falcons on Oct. 26; and Cowboys-Jaguars on Nov. 9.
