Barber will be in broadcast booth for Bucs preseason games
Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive back Ronde Barber's first sports announcing gig will see him on familiar ground. Barber will be an analyst for WFLA's broadcasts of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' preseason games, according to the television station's website. Barber joins play-by-play man Chris Myers and News Channel 8's Dan Lucas is the sideline reporter for the three games the NBC affiliate will telecast, the website said. In May Barber, who announced is retirement in April, joined Fox Sports, where he will act as game analyst on NFL broadcasts and as a studio analyst on Fox Sports 1, a new 24-hour sports channel.
