The Bucs think they need to upgrade either their starter or backup at virtually every position on the field. With that in mind, here’s a look at 10 free agent players Tampa Bay might be targeting as the free-agent signing period opens.
QB Michael Vick, Eagles – Could step in immediately as a starter.
DE Lamarr Houston, Raiders – Could be a dynamic two-way fit on left side.
DE Anthony Spencer, Cowboys – Might prove to be a great value if knee is OK.
OG Zane Beadles, Broncos – One of game’s fastest rising young linemen.
OT Eugene Monroe, Ravens – Can be exceptional when he wants to be.
OG Eben Britton, Bears – Another young guard who’s game is on the rise.
FB John Kuhn, Packers – An all-around upgrade over Bucs UFA Erik Lorig.
CB Captain Munnerlyn, Panthers – Can play at a high level inside and out.
WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, Colts – Would fill the need for legitimate speed option.
KR Devin Hester, Bears – Still as good a return man as there is in the league.
