Correia inducted into Georgia Aquatic Hall of Fame

Maritza Correia, a state champion for Tampa Bay Tech, national champion for the University of Georgia and silver medalist for the United States in the 2004 Olympics, will be inducted into the Georgia Aquatic Hall of Fame on August 23 in Atlanta.

In 2004, Correia earned her Olympic medal swimming on the U.S. 400 free relay team.

Swimming for Georgia from 2000 to 2003, Correia won 10 national titles in various events and relays.

At Tampa Bay Tech, Correia was a six-time state champion in five different events.
