South Nashville’s offense was too much for South Brandon as the Florida All-Stars fell 13-1 in four innings of the Little League Baseball Southeast Region semifinal from Warner Robins, Ga.
The Tennessee representatives started things off in the bottom of the first as Cade Reynolds singled in a run and South Nashville pitcher Blake Money controlled things from there. Money allowed only one run on three hits, walking in the lone South Brandon run in the third, to go along with eight strikeouts.
South Nashville’s seven-run second inning was keyed by a two-run homer from Sam Slaughter, who ended the game with a walk-off, mercy-rule home run in the fourth inning.
South Brandon went 11-3 in the postseason.
