Last week, a video went viral that showed Swiss freestyle skier Fabian Bosch dangling while hanging onto an escalator, arm outstretched, as a teammate rode alongside him.
"We had to wait until our apartment was ready, so we had to kill time, we got really bored, and we started playing around on the escalator," Bosch told Yahoo! Sports.
Bosch also talks with Yahoo about the indoor "Cool runnings" bobsled tribute he posted with Swiss Freeski trainer Dominik "JP" Fürrer. Bosch and Fürrer are seen in the video riding a palette truck down a loading dock.
Bosch’s stunt also caught the attention of fellow Olympian Lindsay Vonn.
I 100% want to find this guy and this escalator and try to do this! I think I could get on the podium! https://t.co/eC6OHH4yVO— lindsey vonn (@lindseyvonn) February 13, 2018
Bosch failed to land a clean run during qualifications on Sunday. Bosch has been one of several athletes dealing with norovirus during the Olympics and expressed his appreciation for the positive response in an interview with Reuters.
"It was crazy what happened with that video," Bosch told Reuters. "I never thought it would go all over the world.
"People said I already won the Olympics for that."
