Wright Regains Job As Miami's Starting QB

CORAL GABLES - The Miami Hurricanes have made a quarterback change.
Following a 51-13 loss, junior Kirby Freeman lost his job to Kyle Wright.
"We are going to go with Kyle," Miami coach Randy Shannon said. "Kyle is going to be the quarterback until otherwise said so. It won't be one week Kyle and one week Kirby. It is going to be the Kyle Wright show for right now and we are going to go with him and we are going to trust in him and believe that he is going to get us where we need to be at."
Wright, the starter the last two seasons, completed seven of 14 passes for 65 yards and a touchdown pass against Oklahoma while Freeman struggled, completing three of nine for 17 yards.
"Both of them did a decent job, but not what we needed," Shannon said. "[Wright] came in the game against Oklahoma and gave us a little spark. I feel like it is his opportunity to get us going."
INJURY UPDATE: S Lovon Ponder (left knee) is out two weeks. OL A.J. Trump (undisclosed injury) is out three weeks. CB Glenn Sharpe practiced on Tuesday and is questionable this week. DT Antonio Dixon and LB Darryl Sharpton are also questionable.
