WATER PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION: Schmidt Elementary School, 1250 Williams Road, Brandon. Hillsborough County Water Resource Services will hold a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. May 29 to discuss the construction of a major water pipeline in the Brandon area. The $23 million project will construct four miles of pipeline starting at the planned Central Hillsborough Water Treatment Facility, west of Falkenburg Road and Columbus Drive. The selected route takes the pipeline east along Columbus Drive, beneath Interstate 75 to Williams Road, then to Dovefield Place, south on Sunny Hills Drive to Woodhaven Drive, east on Woodhaven to Lakewood Drive, then south to Alder Way, Alcoma Drive, Altoona Way and Amarylis Drive to Windhorst Road. From there, the route extends east along Windhorst to Parsons Avenue. For information, call (813) 272-5275.
TRAFFIC CALMING:
•Buckhorn Elementary School, 2420 Buckhorn School Court, Valrico. Hillsborough County will hold a public meeting to discuss traffic calming along Donefal Court from Briarcliff Drive to Falkirk Avenue, near the intersection of Valrico and Lumsden roads in the Valrico area. The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday. A possible solution could be the installation of speed humps. Call (813) 272-5275.
•Evans Park Recreation Center, 1104 N. Kingsway Road, Brandon. Hillsborough County will hold a public meeting to discuss traffic calming along Tomerlain Avenue from Lenna Avenue to Ronald Circle in the Brandon area. The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. May 17.
