Volunteers needed

Good Samaritan Mission in Wimauma is still looking for a few volunteers for its Christmas Blessings Outreach event on Dec. 21, where toys will be distributed to needy children in the community. Available shifts are from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you can’t make the event, the mission could also use help today and tomorrow sorting toys and setting up. Learn to manage your time

The Riverview Woman’s Club will welcome Mary Owens of Black Diamond Associates as its guest speaker at 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 15 at Summerfield Crossings Golf Club, 13050 Summerfield Blvd., Riverview. Owens will help members and participants learn to better manage their time.

Financial aid night announced

Hillsborough County Public Schools Guidance Services will host a financial aid information night for high school students and their families at 6 p.m. on Jan. 28 at the Riverview High School auditorium, 11311 Boyette Rd., Riverview. University financial aid representatives will explain the application process, review how colleges and universities compile financial aid packages and discuss available local, state and federal aid.
