Lakeshore Ranch residents have new place to relax

The new 12,000-square-foot resort-style clubhouse is open for leisure at Lakeshore Ranch in Pasco County, and residents couldn't be happier, says George Schulmeyer, division president of K. Hovnanian Homes. Part of the clubhouse's appeal is that it backs up to a preserve, which Schulmeyer says creates a relaxing environment. "When you're out there, you're surrounded by Mother Nature," he says. A grand opening event is set for noon to 3 p.m. Saturday and K. Hovnanian officials encourage home seekers to come out and see all the benefits of living in Lakeshore Ranch. The clubhouse features a business center, catering kitchen, fitness gym and three full-time staff members to keep it all running smoothly, Schulmeyer says.
"This clubhouse is truly remarkable," he adds. "When I first saw it complete, I said, 'This has a Ritz-Carlton feel,' and it really does. We definitely hit that mark." One of the most popular features of the Lakeshore Ranch Clubhouse is the state-of-the-art workout facility. The gym boasts cardio machines, free weights, aerobic rooms, lockers, dressing rooms and showers. It also includes a children's area. More fun is in store outside. A children's wading pool, a heated swimming pool and a heated lap pool give residents options when it comes to their water enjoyment. Schulmeyer describes the 32,200-square-foot deck as spacious and impressive, with landscaping that includes palm trees and brick pavers. Lakeshore Ranch also features a lake for canoeing and kayaking with a community dock, where homeowners can fish and stroll. "A beautiful picnic area covers a large area next to the lake," Schulmeyer adds. Other outdoor amenities include basketball and lighted tennis courts and a dog park. Also, an amphitheater that will hold up to 160 is in the works, with construction scheduled to begin early next year. Within the Lakeshore Ranch Clubhouse, the expansive catering kitchen includes all the necessary equipment to host a great party, Schulmeyer says. The professional business center is fully equipped with a computer, Internet access, fax machine and conference table, while next door is an enclosed Florida room complete with a fireplace. After their work is done, residents may enjoy the piano, plasma TVs and pool table in the clubhouse, Schulmeyer says. "Even in today's tougher climate, we have continued to invest in the Lakeshore Ranch community because we believe in it,"he says. Due to "the efforts we put forth in designing, developing and executing this community, it offers a true country estate, resort-style feel that is priced to today's market. People are continuing to come out and buy from us, even in tough times. "All of us at K. Hovnanian Homes in Tampa agree, this is the most beautiful community we've ever been involved with," Schulmeyer says. At Lakeshore Ranch, K. Hovnanian Homes offers 12 floor plans with 1,700 to more than 3,300 square feet of living space priced from the $190,000s. The community is off U.S. 41 in Pasco County.
