Westshore Yacht Club offers amenities galore
The Tampa Bay area offers an abundance of amenities to satisfy recreational interests. There are marinas and community boat ramps to access the water, fitness clubs to help you stay fit and spas to help you relax and rejuvenate. Plus, there are plenty of great restaurants. Finding all of those things at one location is not easy but Westshore Yacht Club fits the bill. The gated community, set in the heart of South Tampa, offers all those amenities and more. "There's just nothing like Westshore Yacht Club," says Dawn Brandsma, senior marketing manager for the west-central division of WCI Communities, developer of Westshore Yacht Club. The amenities are part of membership to the Bay Club, a 19,000-square-foot facility that anchors the community with its restaurant, pools, spa, bar, fitness center and billiards room. There also is an on-site marina that includes 149 boat slips for boats from 40 feet to more than 100 feet. All Westshore Yacht Club residents have access to the facilities. However, nonresidents also can become members of the club and marina, Brandsma says. "Our outside membership program has been very successful and exceeded our expectations," she says. "The program's success validates the point that there are few offerings in the area with this complete range of amenities." Beyond the amenities, Westshore Yacht Club is a successful community, Brandsma says. "Our location is ideal. We're in historic South Tampa and within five miles of downtown, the West Shore District and St. Petersburg." Westshore Yacht Club is on the shore of Old Tampa Bay, giving its residents what few homeowners of new construction can have: year-round spectacular sunsets over the Bay and access to Tampa Bay, the Gulf of Mexico and beyond, Brandsma says. Ample green spaces and a park provide residents with outdoor options for living beyond the water, she adds. "WCI Communities hosts several casual get-togethers throughout the year in the park," Brandsma says. "From poolside live entertainment to happy hours that toast the sunset, there are many options for residents to gather together. We are even hosting a first-anniversary celebration for the Bay Club" today. Home styles within Westshore Yacht Club are many, Brandsma says, giving home buyers numerous choices to fit any need at any stage in life. Among the home choices are Castillo Tower Condominiums, which features three floor plans with 2,000 to 2,600 square feet of living space. "There are unbelievable views in these homes," she says. Residents also not only have access to the amenities throughout Westshore Yacht Club, but also to the amenities within the 15-story building, including guest suites, a fitness center, salon, private party facilities and a theater. Beyond Castillo, the community's largest homes can be found along the shore in its Bayfront Estates. These waterfront homes provide 4,500 to more than 6,000 square feet of living space. Boulevard Homes feature four bedrooms and 5½ bathrooms in 4,500 to 5,000 square feet of living space. Currently sold out, those who desire single-family homes will soon have a choice of three new floor plans. Three town home floor plans with 1,674 to 2,311 square feet of living space also are available. "Clearly, Westshore Yacht Club has something for everyone," Brandsma says. Westshore Yacht Club is at 6001 S. West Shore Blvd. in Tampa. For information, call (813) 769-6600 or visit www.westshoreyachtclub.com.
