C63 AMG Mercedes better than first thought
When I first drove the C63 AMG Mercedes-Benz, I mainly was on a racetrack. I had little time to test on public roads and boy was I in for a surprise when I got the chance. I loved the C63 on the track but downright adored the vehicle on the street. AMG is the same well-known high performance nameplate that now falls under the Mercedes-Benz company. Now, AMG works even closer with designers and engineers to build vehicles that are even more phenomenal. The AMG badge means superior performance. No matter which Mercedes-Benz model the AMG badge is attached to, everyone knows it can accelerate, handle and stop with the highest of standard. The C-class sedan is considered the entry-level sedan for Mercedes-Benz; however, the C63 AMG is anything but entry-level. Powered by the newest version AMG V-8 engine and equipped with bodacious brakes, incredible handling and fabulous interior features, the C63 AMG is a wondrous thing. The AMG folks also attached a breathtaking base price of $54,625 and that includes the destination charge. This automobile is a force to reckon with. AMG's "one-man, one-engine" philosophy of engine building is never more evident than with the C63 AMG. Each engine is hand-built by one technician who ensures the highest level of perfection with his signature atop a plate attached to the engine. The 6.2-liter V-8 engine produces a neck-snapping 451-horsepower and 443 pounds-feet of torque. This is helped by the relatively light curb weight of this sedan. One visceral component is the precisely tuned exhaust system that absolutely makes a grown man well up with emotion. AMG, knowledgeable of the kind of fun a driver will experience piloting the C63, have designed incredibly supportive front sport bucket seats. Typical of how much thought goes into Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the C63 AMG seats are not the typical sport seats. Large side bolsters on both cushion and seat back are adjustable so that no matter your girth, you can find a supportive position. On the roadways and on a race track, the C63 AMG shined. With 7.9 pounds per horsepower, it was just flat-out fun. Couple this with a base price of just $54,625 and you have a Benz that lights up the senses while providing the luxury you expect from this German company.
