PLANT CITY Former Plant City resident Larry Rayburn recently received a distinguished award for providing legal services for his company for 25 years.
Rayburn, who works for industrial conglomerate St. Gobain in Tampa, said the Bravo Award is an honor bestowed by the company in recognition for years of service.
“Fortunately for me, St. Gobain recognized all my years of service,” Rayburn said.
An attorney, he currently provides legal services for the company’s gypsum division. He received the award on Feb. 22; the same month which marked his twenty-fifth anniversary with the company.
Rayburn said his career began with St. Gobain when he worked for Jim Walter and Celotex. The company was bought by British company BPB before being bought by St. Gobain, which is based in Paris.
The company provides a diverse variety of industrial products that are used in fields that range from construction to aerospace.
Rayburn was born in Plant City and received his law degree from the University of Florida. He lives in Tampa with his wife Joan, who is also a Plant City native.
