DOVER The Hillsborough County PTA and district principals and employees met to exchange ideas and discuss plans for the coming school year at an annual breakfast.
“It’s kind of the kick-off to the school year,” said Bridgitte Kramer, Hillsborough PTA president. “This is kind of an icebreaker to start off the school year.”
Kramer said the breakfast meeting at Strawberry Crest High School was part of a daylong series of meetings for principals, Hillsborough County School District officials and PTA members representing public schools from elementary through high school.
Kramer added this year the Hillsborough County PTA is celebrating its 90th year as an organization, representing children in one of the nation’s largest school districts.
“This is our 90th year of advocating for children in Hillsborough County,” she said. “Our goal always is to honor children.”
Kramer credited the success of their organization in part to its partnership with the school district and schools.
“We have a great partnership with the principals,” she said.
