A 41-year-old woman has been charged after she was seen on video trashing a McDonald's while nearly nude in Pinellas Park.
Sandra Suarez, of 9859 66th St., in Pinellas Park, was arrested and is charged with resisting an officer with violence and felony criminal mischief, according to a charge report from the Pinellas Park Police Department. She was arrested just after 11 p.m. March 24.
She was released on March 29 after posting $7,000 bond.
In the now-viral video, Suarez is seen at a McDonald's in Pinellas Park, 10191 66th St., wearing only shoes and a thong yelling at staff, throwing food trays and cash registers to the floor, and pulling food out of cooler. She is also seen eating ice cream from the ice cream machine.
“My understanding is McDonald's had to close because of the damage to their equipment,” said Lt. Brian Unmisig, a spokesman for Pinellas Park Police Department.
When the Pinellas Park police officers tried to arrest her, she resisted, according to an arrest affidavit.
She took an aggressive stance and lunged at the officers, an arrest affidavit states. She bumped the officers with her body and attempted to grab a male police officer's crotch, according to the arrest affidavit.
During the arrest at McDonald's, she tried pulling away, according to the arrest affidavit.
There was no indication that she had been using drugs or alcohol at the time of the arrest, the arrest affidavit said.
According to The Associated Press, franchise owner Juan Illas said the employees who released the video have been fired.
