Tarpon Springs High show choir doesn’t bring home trophy
TARPON SPRINGS - Tarpon Springs High School’s show choir placed ninth out of 10 schools in last week’s Show Choir National Competition. The only Florida school to be invited, Syndicated Sound performed a 20-minute set of songs with an environmental theme on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tenn. “They did the best job they possibly could,” said the group’s director, Chuck Cheeseman. “It’s just that some of the other groups were bigger and did a better job.” The group was invited to the competition once before, in 2006, and came in fifth place.
