Tampa woman hit by car, killed in Largo
A 66-year-old Tampa woman died after being hit by a car Monday night while trying to cross Ulmerton Road in Largo, troopers said. About 9:44 p.m., Nicholas Phillip Christini, 32, of Tampa, was eastbound in a 1988 Ford Mustang in the inside lane of Ulmerton Road approaching 49th Street, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Marcella Brydon Moore was standing at the southeast corner of the intersection, then started to walk north across Ulmerton into the carís path, troopers said. The Mustang hit Moore, who was taken to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, where she later died, troopers said.The highway patrol said charges are pending.
