St. Pete apartment fire displaces four adults, three dogs
Four adults and three dogs needed a new place to live after an apartment fire in St. Petersburg on Wednesday night. St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue units responded to a residential structure fire at 1335 17th Ave. N. about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, and arriving firefighters saw flames coming from the rear porch of the two-story building. Crews fought fire while searching inside for residents, fire rescue said. Investigators said the structure had two apartments, one upstairs and another downstairs. The fire started on the back porch of the upstairs apartment. The fire is not considered suspicious.Red Cross assisted with finding housing for four adults and three dogs. No injuries were reported.
