Seminole fire injures two men, kills three dogs
Two men were hurt and three dogs died in a house fire in unincorporated Seminole this morning. Rocco Cappo, 65, and Dwight Douglas, 51, were awakened by smoke in the house at 9511 Antilles Drive in Seminole, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's office. Deputies responded to the fire at 6:52 a.m. The men left the house and Cappo was taken to Largo Medical Center for smoke inhalation and Douglas was treated on scene for smoke inhalation, the sheriff's office said. The dogs were a pit bull, a bull mastiff and a black Labrador retriever.There is extensive damage to the home, deputies said. Detectives said the fire does not appear to be arson.
