Police: Clearwater store owner sold drugs behind counter
A Clearwater convenience store owner was charged Wednesday with selling drugs from behind the counter. Clearwater police responded after being advised Junn Yan Lai, 55, was actively selling drugs at Greenwood Food Mart, 1205 N. Martin Luther King Ave. After being told of the accusations and consenting to a search, police seized 71 grams of marijuana – which were packaged for sale – two grams of crack cocaine, and a Morphine pill. An investigation is ongoing.
