Man nearly drowns in St. Pete pool
Firefighters saved a 35-year-old man from drowning in a pool this morning. St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue responded to a near-drowning at 7119 14th St. N. in St. Petersburg at 10:41 a.m. Six firefighters performed CPR on the man, who had no pulse, and took him to Northside Hospital, according to Lt. Joel Granata. Authorities have not released the man's name or said whether he lives at the home where he was found. The man's heart started beating again on the way to the hospital, but he was still not breathing by the time he arrived, Granata said. Investigators are still trying to figure out what happened to the man.
