Largo man sentenced on federal weapon charge
A 23-year-old Largo man has been sentenced to more than a decade in federal prison after being pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a weapon. Kwamane Coleman, of 11700 129th Ave. N., Largo, was sentenced on Monday to 15 years in federal prison by U.S. District Judge William J. Castagna, according to a release from A. Lee Bentley III, acting U.S. attorney for the Middle District of Florida. Coleman pleaded guilty on Feb. 27. Coleman was arrested Aug. 12 for trespassing in Largo and was found to be in possession of a firearm, ammunition, and crack cocaine, according to court documents. This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
