Kittens rescued from freezer at home with new families
Three surviving kittens that were stuffed into Ziploc bags and put into a freezer have all found new homes. Separate families adopted each of them from SPCA Tampa Bay within the last week. "For these cats to have gone through what they do - I knew a good home was in order," said Andrew Parks, a single father who adopted one of the kittens and named him "Tuffy." Tuffy was one of four kittens stuffed in Ziploc bags and put in a freezer. Investigators think Rodney Blanchard was trying to get rid of them. One died. Three others made it but were covered in fleas. Blanchard, who's facing four counts of cruelty to animals, is still in jail.Read the full story on the rescued kittens.
