Driver dies after Pinellas Park crash

A 50-year-old driver who made a U-turn into the path of another car has died, according to Pinellas Park police.

Michelle B. Tanner was driving a 1997 Mercury northbound in the 6400 block of 66th Street on Tuesday morning, when she made a U-turn to head south, police said. Tanner, however, pulled into the lane where Tyler Bonfiglio was driving a 2005 Kia and the vehicles collided.

Tanner was ejected from her vehicle and taken to a hospital, police said. She later died.

Bonfiglio, 20, and a passenger were treated and released from a hospital, according to police, and a minor child in his vehicle was released to relatives at the scene.
