Clearwater police have captured a shooting suspect who hid in a home this afternoon.

Police said the shooting took place at 4:23 p.m. at 1348 Boylan Ave., and George V. Leslie, 69, fled the scene in a vehicle. They said Leslie went to his home in the 1500 block of South Washington Avenue, where they were able to apprehend him.

The injuries to the shooting victim, Eric D. Timmons, 44, appear to be non-life threatening, and he was taken to Bayfront Hospital, police said.

Police said they seized a Colt .38 revolver and a 2005 Toyota 4Runner from Leslie.
