Clearwater man charged with sex abuse after girl, 12, gets pregnant
A 40-year-old Clearwater man has been charged with sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl multiple times over the past year, police said. Cesar Ernest Alcivar was charged with capital sexual battery after police learned the girl was pregnant, said Elizabeth Watts, spokeswoman for the Clearwater Police Department. The girl's mother took her to the hospital after she complained of stomach pains and the hospital contacted police after learning she was pregnant, Watts said. Detectives determined the abuse started when the girl was 11 and continued multiple times over the course of a year, Watts said.
