Classes Offer Puppies Doggone Good Training
Melanie Villafana is offering dog training classes at Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park, 10500 Wilderness Park Blvd.
Classes for puppy kindergarten, elementary and middle school will be at 9 and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. for one hour beginning Sept. 15 and continuing each Saturday through Oct. 20. Cost is $95.
The class for puppies up to 5 months will cover development, communication, housebreaking, chewing and obedience.
Elementary is for dogs 4months and older and focuses on obedience, leadership and desensitizing. It has a final exam.
Middle school is for dogs with education in obedience and focuses on confidence building through positive reinforcement and conquering obstacles such as jumping through hoops and running through tunnels.
Class graduates of each grade receive diplomas.
The classes are capped at eight students.

High 12 Club To Launch New Year With Meeting
The West Pasco-Holiday High 12 Club will begin its new year with a meeting at noon Sept. 5.

Crest Ridge Club To Host Line Dancing
Crest Ridge Gardens Community Club is starting its line dancing sessions in September.
Joyce Cramer will lead line dancing at 10 a.m. each Wednesday and 10 a.m. on the Mondays of Sept. 10, 17 and 24.

Need Homework Help? Head To The Library
The Land O' Lakes Library, 2818 Collier Parkway, is offering the Homework Help Center from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It starts Sept. 4 and goes through Nov. 28.
Elementary school-age children are invited to "From Print to Screen" at 2 p.m. Sept. 8.

Library Has Activities For Whole Family
The Thoracic Oncology Program at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center will present a program at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Hudson Library, 8012 Library Road.
The program will feature registered nurse Andrea Shaeffer, who will discuss "The Status of Lung Cancer 2007" and John DeMuro, coordinator for advocacy, who will present "Speak Out for Moffitt."
A photographic collection and personal stories of lung cancer patients, their caregivers and health care professionals will be displayed.
Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Pasco County Library System.
Baby Story Time, for children up to 1 year, is held Thursdays at 11:30 a.m.
Beginning Sept. 5, an additional Baby Story Time will be each Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
Bring your baby to enjoy an interactive story and playtime designed by youth services librarian Elizabeth Warrick. Parents are encouraged to read along and point out elements of the story to their child.
Immediately after the stories is playtime for parents and children to play with toys and board books.
Family Night Out features stories, songs and activities for the entire family at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Nov. 28.
