ZEPHYRHILLS — Veterans will be honored this weekend with a parade down Fifth Avenue. The parade, organized by Main Street Zephyrhills, starts at 10 a.m. Saturday at 17th Street then progresses down Fifth.
The parade will feature various military service organizations, including the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8154, The Military Order of the Purple Heart, American Legion Post 118, AMVETS Post 550, Disabled American Veterans No. 65, Vietnam Veterans of America No. 195 and the Sgt. Maj. Michael Curtin Marine Corps League Detachment 1124.
Also participating in the parade are: the Zephyrhills High School Bulldogs Marching Band, the ZHS JROTC Cadets and Show Team and ZHS JROTC Color Guard,
The celebration will continue at 4 p.m. as Main Street presents the last Music & Motorcycles event of the year. Budweiser vendors will set up at 2 p.m. and motorcycle parking will be on downtown streets. Show bikes will be parked in front of the band stage on Fifth Avenue, just east of Eighth Street.
Registration for the show will be from 4 to 6 p.m. and is $10 per bike, per class. Classes are: stock Harley; stock metric; bike babe; bar cruiser; touring; old school/antique; custom Harley; custom metric; custom bagger; and anything goes. First- and second-place trophies will be given in each class. There will also be a best of show award.

An after-party with a bonfire will be held at the Anchor Inn, 4711 Gall Blvd., from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., featuring Jason and Company on the patio.
On Sunday, a Turkey Shoot to benefit Operation Outdoor Freedom will be held at Hidden Creek Golf Course, 35353 Eiland Blvd. Shooting a paper target closest to the center will win a frozen turkey. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the shoot runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration costs $5 and each shot costs $5. Parking is $1. Shotguns and shells will be provided. No other ammo or guns will be permitted.
The event will include door prizes, a paratrooper flag drop, bounce houses and country star J. T. Curtis will perform. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. For more information e-mail email@example.com.
On Monday, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8154 will hold a free breakfast for veterans from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and later local veterans’ organizations will participate in a Veterans Day ceremony at the Veterans Memorial in Zephyr Park in Zephyrhills. The ceremony will start at 11 a.m. and feature a flag ceremony, speakers and a VFW Post 8154 honor guard to present a 21-gun salute.
After the ceremony, VFW 8154 and the AMVETS Post 550 will host free dinners for veterans.
