Tribune’s Pasco Prep Track Athletes of the Year

Boys SPENCER GUERETTE, ANCLOTE, SR. After spending most of last season in the shadow of current USF runner Argishti Gazari, Guerette made a name for himself in 2013. Guerette placed in the Class 2A state finals for the second-consecutive season and placed third in the 1,600. The senior also nabbed a second-place finish at the Class 2A-Region 3 meet. Guerette continues a line of top-flight distance runners at Anclote and proved to be one of the best in the state. Girls COURTNEY PRENGAMAN, WESLEY CHAPEL, SR. The drive to back-to-back state championships fell short for Prengaman, but the senior capped off a stellar track and field career at Wesley Chapel. After winning a state championship in the high jump in 2012, Prengaman walked away from Jacksonville with a silver medal and a second-place finish. The feat completed consecutive finishes within the top two in the Class 2A high jump.
