Small plane crashes in Dade City; minor injuries reported
A small plane crashed in Dade City today, but the pilot and passengers only received minor injuries, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said. Pasco emergency officials received a call from Tampa International Airport at 6:11 p.m. saying a small plane had crashed seven miles north of Zephyrhills. The pilot had reportedly called in saying he had engine trouble prior to the crash. Another pilot found the plane had ended upside down in a cow pasture near 12944 Johnson St., Dade City, deputies said. Three people were reportedly on board and all three walked away with only minor injuries. The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the crash.
