Pasco Tribune all-Pasco County girls cross country

First team Nikita Shah, Wiregrass Ranch, Jr. She was fourth at Class 3A state meet, running a 17:53. That was the best finish by a Pasco County girl since the race became a 3.1-mile event. Kari Grippo, Gulf, So.
She was seventh with a 19:32 at Class 2A state meet. Cedre Elise, Wiregrass Ranch, So. She hurt her ankle at the regional but came back to run a 20:26 at the Class 3A state meet. Claudia Cancello, Mitchell, Jr. She split time between swimming and cross country in her first year of running. She finished 35th with a time of 19:52 at the Class 3A state meet. Berlin Waters, Wiregrass Ranch, Jr. In her first year of cross country, she ran a 20:33 at the Class 3A state meet. Second team Chelsea Ginn-Davis, Wiregrass Ranch, Jr. Elaina Cancello, Mitchell, Jr. Samantha Martinez, Ridgewood, Jr. Mia Savino, Gulf, So. Savannah Goode, Wiregrass Ranch, So. Honorable mention Gulf – Renee Patnode, Eliza Godza; Pasco – Victoria Baker; Wiregrass Ranch – Addie Cornwell Coach of the Year Don Howard, Wiregrass Ranch Howard keeps reloading his girls teams when others are rebuilding. That meant a seventh-place finish for the Wiregrass Ranch girls team at the Class 3A meet. They also claimed their fourth straight Sunshine Athletic Conference. Shah and most of the girls will return next year.
