Pasco man faces murder charges in father's death
The Pasco Sheriff's Office has arrested the son of a man found inside a burned home Monday night in Holiday. Baron Von Duke Vercruysse, 23, faces first degree murder charges in the death of his father, Rene' Dominique Vercruysse, 52. Deputies say a dispute broke out between the two men sometime on New Year's Eve at the home at 5617 Mosaic Drive. The sheriff's office and Pasco Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at the house at 10:20 p.m. In searching the home, deputies found the body of Rene' Dominique Vercruysse inside. Detectives began searching for Baron Von Duke Vercruysse and received information he was in the Holiday Lakes Estates area, where he was subsequently located, the sheriff's office said.Detectives are still investigating how Rene' Dominique Vercruysse was killed. Baron Von Duke Vercruysse was booked into the Land O'Lakes jail.
