Pasco man accused of molesting 4-year-old girl
Authorities arrested a New Port Richey man Sunday evening and charged him with molesting a 4-year-old girl. Deputies from the Pasco Sheriff’s Office responded to Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey where the girl was being examined. She told authorities John Cole Kelly, 24, 6120 Delaware Ave., molested her while giving her a bath, the arrest report said. Kelly lived with and regularly assisted the girl’s caregiver, deputies said. The caregiver told authorities the girl complained about Kelly’s actions on more than one occasion. Following his arrest, Kelly, charged with felony sexual battery of a victim younger then 12 years of age and possession of marijuana, admitted to molesting the girl. No bond was set on the first charge, while $150 was set for the second count. He remains in the Land O’ Lakes Jail.
